Beasiswa sekolah FashionMungkin ada celah

Dear all!
Bgaimanapun, sejago2nya orang asing menguasai cara pembuatan tekstil tradisional Indonesia, tetap aja anda orang Indonesia kalau emang mau menekuni tekstil tradisonal bangsa anda, jelas anda lebih jago.
Ok, segini aja dulu infonya.
Salam
Luth

Alhamdulillaah & Terimakasih for Keeping My Spirit

Dear Milist Beasiswa….
Maka Luruskan Niat, Jaga Semangat, Penuhi semua mekanisme sebab akibat takdir beasiswa kita.

Tips pertama :
Episode A

Pilih section “MESSAGE DELIVERY”.
“No e-mail” : artinya, TIDAK menerima pesan apapun.
Terima kasih.

(INFO) Changing Faces Women’s Leadership Program

Changing Faces Women’s Leadership Program
Changing Faces is a leadership development program for women from the United States and the Asia Pacific region. Now accepting applications for the 2008 program Women and Conflict Transformation in Asia, the Pacific, and the United States
*Program dates:* July 20 - 31, 2008 *Application Deadline:* February 15, 2008
“Humankind has understood history as a series of battles because, to this day, it regards conflict as the central facet of life.” Anton Chekhov, Russian author and playwright
In a region experiencing a wide range of low-and high-intensity conflicts the assertion that conflict is unavoidable certainly rings true. The real choice then, lies is in how to confront, analyze, and respond to conflict in a way that moves society forward toward positive change. The importance of women’s participation in peacebuilding, security decision-making, and conflict transformation, has been most clearly put forth in UN Security Council Resolution 1325 in the year 2000: “stressing the importance of their equal participation and full involvement in all efforts for the maintenance and promotion of peace and security, and the need to increase their role in decision-making with regard to conflict prevention and resolution.” Notably, the resolution calls on all actors involved in negotiating and implementing peace agreements to institute support local women’s peace initiatives and indigenous processes for conflict resolution, and that involve women in all of the implementation mechanisms of the peace agreements. In a statement during open debate on women, peace, and security issues marking the fifth anniversary of the adoption of Resolution 1325 in October 2005, the Romanian delegation to the Security Council articulated the compelling motivation for women’s representation: “Women should be acknowledged as having a valuable contribution to their societies and to international relations not because of their high potential to become victims, but because they are recognized as valuable and skillful resources, able to make a difference and bring added-value to peace processes in all parts of the world.”
The 2008 Changing Faces Women’s Leadership Program will focus on the issue of women’s involvement in conflict transformation. Conflict may arise in relation to political recognition and representation, or access to natural, social, or economic resources, and at every level: from the community to international. And when conflicts arise, every level and facet of society is affected: economic development and sustainability, resource allocation and use, education, and public policy. Women’s involvement in the transformation of these conflict situations is imperative. The 2008 program seeks professional women, in both the public and private sectors, at lower and middle level positions of leadership from around the United States and the Asia Pacific region to participate in a program of dialogue, exchange, and leadership skills building focused on the issue of women and conflict transformation. Application Requirements
Women from all professional backgrounds, including elected officials, government agencies, civil society organizations, the private sector, education, and the media, who have 512 years of work experience and are active in community development, inter-communal/inter-religious dialogue, or current conflict/post-conflict peacebuilding efforts are welcome to apply. In particular, the program seeks applicants with demonstrated leadership experience, either professionally or through voluntary community activities, and who have the potential to move into positions of greater responsibility and influence. Applicants must have the ability to use English in a multi-cultural, professional setting. Preference will be given to candidates without significant previous international travel experience.
Costs for participation (housing accommodations, meals related to the program, ground transportation, program materials, and a modest per diem) will be provided by the East-West Center. *Participants will be responsible for their round-trip transportation to Honolulu as well as all fees for obtaining their visas.* A limited number of travel stipends (contingent on available funding) will be available for participants from developing countries, however selected participants should expect some level of cost-sharing.

Each participant will be asked to identify a priority issue, either for her organization or her community, and to outline ways in which she sees herself exercising leadership to address the issue. Participants will engage in online dialogue through the program website. Honolulu Seminar
Workshops will cover topics including communication, team-building, organizational planning, and models of leadership in differing cultural contexts. Drawing on East-West Center and community expertise, participants will meet with specialists and practitioners to explore a variety of leadership case studies. In addition, community resource persons and local site visits will highlight community building and dialogue activities taking place in the culturally and ethnically diverse state of Hawai`i. During the seminar, participants will formulate a one-year personal action plan to be implemented following their return home.Program participants will be asked to make presentations on the critical issues they identified prior to arrival and how these issues may be impacted positively through their own leadership. Follow-up
Refine action plan relating to the critical issue and identify measurable steps to be taken to address the issue. Maintain regular contact with program staff and fellow participants through the program website and listserve and provide updates on action plan progress. Participants will be asked to submit a formal progress report in April 2009. Program History
“I believe we will have better government when men and women discuss public issues together and make their decisions on the basis of their differing areas of concern for the welfare of their families and their world… Too often the great decisions are originated and given form in bodies made up wholly of men or so completely dominated by them that whatever of special value women have to offer is shunted aside without expression.”
*–Eleanor Roosevelt, December 1952*
When women are empowered to exercise leadership at all levels it is not just in the service of women, but as a contribution to the betterment of society as a whole. Now more than ever, communities and organizations across the Asia Pacific region are in need of balanced and constructive leadership. Launched in 2002, Changing Faces is a program designed to bring together women from the United States and the Asia Pacific region to participate in dialogue on leadership and issues specific to women in leadership around the region. The program seeks professional women at lower and middle level positions of leadership who have the potential to move into positions of greater responsibility and influence. For More Information

Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Program–Univrsity of Redlands

From: Piet Hendrardjo [mailto:piet@aminef.or.id] Sent: 24 Januari 2008 14:42 To: mfi@yahoogroups.com Subject: Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Program–Univrsity of Redlands

Dear Fulbright Program alumni:

I am pleased to inform you of the availability of a Fulbright program grant for a senior scholar in the Social Sciences like Sociology or Anthropology to help develop an Islamic Studies program at the University of Redlands, California. Specifically, the university is looking for a scholar from Indonesia or Malaysia, countries that are predominately Muslim but are not in the Middle East and have significant non-Islamic populations.

The scholar would teach four upper-division courses and guest lecture in two introductory Social Science courses, focusing on the social, ethnic, political and ideological diversity of Islam. The scholar would also be the primary host of a year-long thematic series for the campus community on the Islamic World. Finally, the scholar would give presentations hosted by the diversity-related centers on campus and at Faculty Forums, as well as have the opportunity to interact in a variety of ways with the community around the University of Redlands.

Outstanding scholars and professionals, preferably in the Social Sciences like Sociology or Anthropology, who will be able to link religion to other areas of life, such as law, sexuality, science, kinship, technology, and the environment, are invited to apply. The actual discipline of the scholar is of less concern; the school is more interested in reinforcing and deepening the interdisciplinary focus of their programs. The scholar must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in their discipline. As the scholar will be expected to consult with faculty and administration on the programmatic needs and design of an Islamic Area Studies and to teach upper division courses, the school would prefer the scholar has a minimum of three years teaching experience at the university level. The scholar must be a citizen or permanent resident of and residing in Indonesia. The selected candidate will begin the program in August 2008 for a full academic year (10 months) assignment.

Please let us know if you have potential candidates to recommend so we could send her/him the application and letter of reference forms as well as more detailed information on the assignment. Please note that the application deadline to AMINEF is February 30, 2008.

We would appreciate your assisting us in identifying potential candidates for this program and direct them to contact us to apply. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or senior program officer Piet Hendrardjo (piet@aminef.or.id) at your earliest convenience. Thank you and best wishes.

Sincerely,

Michael E. McCoy
Executive Director
